Dr. L Ghose - (Director (Knowledge Management and Finance))

Dr. Ghose completed her graduation (MBBS) from Sylhet MAG Oshmani Medical College before her completion of MPH from NIPSOM, Dhaka and Master of Health Economics from Dhaka University. She worked as Visiting Scholar at Yamaguchi School of Medical Science, Yamaguchi University, Japan in 2005.

Dr N C Dey - (Chief Investigator, Policy and Strategy Developmet, & MD)

Dr. Dey obtained B.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering degree from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. Subsequently, he completed M.Sc. Engineering (Water Resources) degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, and received the Ph.D. degree from Tottori University, Japan. He has long standing experience in implementation research, planning and management, analytical and problem solving ability, coaching and mentoring, conducting training of trainers’(ToT) and follow-up coaching, publication, dissemination, strategy development , teaching and supervising, collaboration and networking, budgeting, fund-raising. Moreover, he has improved upon my existing technical skills by learning multiple software systems, such as SPSS, ArcGIS, ER Mapper, MS Excel, Micro-cal Origin.

Research Interest: His research interest includes design and develop risk assessment and management process and systems using data analytics techniques, image processing, geospatial, empirical, modeling, and laboratory analysis in order to addressing societal problems related to water environment, food, climate change adapation, and disaster risk reduction.

Dr. Amin is an experienced development professional (urban and rural livelihoods) with PhD in Agronomy from Bangladesh Agricultural University having a demonstrated history for the betterment of marginalized, and youth livelihoods including sustainability.

Dr Akhteruzzan is a Professor of Bangladesh Agricultural University and Part-time Director of RED from 2020 to the present. His expertise in Agricultural Economics & Rural Sociology, livelihood security and human welbeing

Md Shawkat Ali - (Director – Program Development & Partnerships)

Mr. Mohammad Shawkat Ali is a seasoned development professional with 30+ years of experience in climate-resilient agriculture, livelihood development, environmental and social safeguards, across major donor-funded projects (World Bank, ADB, USAID, EU, DFID). He holds a B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.) from BAU, an M.Sc. in Environmental Science, an MBA, and conducted research on environmental degradation at Tottori University, Japan. He served as an Agricultural Market Linkage Specialist in World Bank projects, supporting producer groups in developing market-driven value chains. Previously, he led urban resilience and livelihoods at DDM, and advanced safeguards and women’s entrepreneurship in iDE’s SUCHANA Project. At CARE-Bangladesh, he managed USAID’s Agriculture Extension Project, introducing ICT-based advisory tools. He is skilled in safeguard compliance, stakeholder engagement, private sector linkage, and results-based monitoring, with a strong record of delivering inclusive, impact-oriented results in both rural and urban settings.
